aARON - bridesman

Aaron and Courtney met sitting under a flying pig poster in high school--with a rainbow coming out of it's ass. They instantly bonded over their hatred for Algebra II, and the burden of being a teenager. Plenty of time was spent listening to the Smiths and Morrissey together, if that gives you any idea of the severity of the situation. Their friendship is full of whimsy, and they are always dreaming of more adventures together.

They have endured teen angst, Halloween dance contests (they should have won), questionable nights with Malibu rum in college, horrific breakups, mermaid tears, and a plethora of bad hairstyles along the way. He's the friend she can always turn to, no matter the situation, and will always keep it real. An advocate for social justice, he inspires her to be a better person, and will forever be her best friend.

ashley - bridesmaid

Courtney met Ashley at the hospital in 1990. It was a confusing time where Courtney got upset that she was no longer the baby Broadwell. This moment would turn her life upside down, as she now had a sister that would read what was written in her Lion King Diary (the horror!), tattle on her, and generally be a pest. As it turns out, all of this hardship was for the better, as she now has a lifelong bond with someone that knows her deeper than anyone on the planet.

She is the calm yin to Courtney's wild yang, and is always there to listen to Courtney's made-up trials and tribulations which regularly occur. Often the peacemaker at family gatherings, she's always an appreciated addition to the group, and is very good at keeping secrets (probably from Courtney's endless bribes as a child). Her taste in Doritos is questionable (she doesn't like Cool Ranch!), but she is the best sister anyone could ever ask for.

Taylor - Groomsman

Now this story I'm about to unfold took place back in the early nineties--just about the time of our conflict with Saddam and the Iraqis. I only mention it 'cause some- times there's a man... I won't say a hero, 'cause what's a hero? But sometimes there's a man... and I'm talkin' about Taylor here...

Chris met Taylor in 1992 to be exact. It was the 4th grade, and as ornery as boys are known to be at that age, they didn't quite get along. It only took the rest of their formative years for them to realize just how much they shared in common. Maybe it was the journey they shared through life's most awkward teen phase? Maybe. Chris would chalk it up to countless nights of campfires, cars (specifically, a most infamous monster truck), lucid lane-changing dreams, and a fair share of debauchery. Theirs is a friendship that is no longer bound by time. They always seamlessly pick up right where they left off, despite distance or frequency of communication. Brothers from other mothers.

dan - groomsman

Dan almost requires no introduction. If you've known Chris for the last 20 years, Dan has been the guy standing next to him indulging every high-risk or adventurous idea that came to mind. In their shared predilection for adrenaline and exploring the unknown, the two have traveled near and far together to discover the world, la medicina, and consequently, themselves. As most explorers or pioneers would relate, discovery doesn't come without a price- for instance, accidentally celebrating Dan's birthday in a gay dance club in Peru or suffering in a foreign country from the antagonist relationship between Red Bull and alcohol (...or was it?). Having often served as trusted advisors for each other in the fields of automotive repair, whiskey, woodworking, and dating, it's probably safer to say they know the other better than themselves. A true O.G., Dan still rocks his khakis with a cuff and a crease.

adrian - ring bearer

Adrian is Courtney's oldest nephew, and a cool cat.  Courtney and Adrian have many joint interests that the rest of the family doesn't, including: sushi, cursing (she won't snitch on him!), strong coffee, bath bombs, and being extra. He is extremely compassionate, adventurous, inquisitive, and "athletical". He didn't get the athleticism from his Broadwell genes.

He is not into the idea of a wedding, or anything where he has to watch people kiss in public, so please excuse him if he keeps his eyes closed throughout the process. He is excited about the dance party and adding a new uncle to the family--especially one that he can joke and play legos with.

anders - ring bearer

Anders is Courtney's nephew, and he is quite thoughtful and funny. He's a dedicated Alabama football fan (we forgive him for that), and an exceptional little athlete himself. He's always smiling! When Courtney first met him as a wee little baby, he smiled and smiled and smiled some more! He's been doing it ever since.

Anders is also not keen on the idea of a wedding. Thankfully, he's taking one for the team and has agreed to help march these rings down the aisle safely, and eat delicious food and dance like a wild man afterwards.

lena - Flower girl

Lena is Courtney's niece, and the sweetest of the little ones. Despite being the youngest in the Broadwell clan, she's perhaps one of the most outspoken when they all gather. Courtney likes spending time with her because they have many stereotypical girly things in common--painting their nails, purses, jewelry, etc. etc.

Lena is not so sure about this whole wedding business (she's a bit shy around strangers), but she is going to do a wonderful job of throwing flower petals and being dainty.
